About Me

Leonardo Saenz Medellin (b. 2000, Texas) is a Mexican American photographer based in Dallas, Texas. In 2024, Saenz received a BFA in Photography from the University of North Texas, College of Visual Arts and Design. His current work explores the nuances of human emotion through portraiture, specifically focusing on grief and mourning. He combines analog and digital photography in his work as an homage to the beginning of his artistic career with film photography. His recent series No Quisiera Seguir studies mourning and the many different ways of how it can be embodied.
